Asian Congress on Occupational Health
Welcome Message
Welcome Message
Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 23rd Asian Congress on Occupational Health 2023 (ACOH 2023) to be held at EXCO in Daegu, Republic of Korea, from November 22 to 25, hosted by the Korean Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (KSOEM). With the theme, “Healthy Work, Worthy Worker: From Basic Rights to the Sustainable Future,” ACOH 2023 will bring together occupational health researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from all counties in Asia to share their accumulated knowledge and experience on improving workers’ health and safety.
Korea has experienced both traditional and modern occupational diseases as a result of its rapid industrialization. Asia has the largest population and labor force in the world, as well as the most numerous and complex occupational health issues. Therefore, mutual cooperation among Asian countries in the field of occupational health is the key at this point. Based on Asia’s advanced science and technology, which is at the forefront of the world, it is hoped that solidarity cooperation and joint research will become more active through ACOH 2023.
Daegu, the venue of this congress, is located in the Southeast part of the Korean Peninsula, and it has been the center of history, administration, education, and culture for a very long time. Furthermore, with the transportation network expertly linked in all directions, it leads to numerous cultural heritages and tourist attractions to effectively showcase Korean culture.
We believe that the ACOH 2023 will be rewarding as it will meet your expectations with social, cultural, and scientific experience. With this, we look forward to welcoming you in this November in Daegu, Korea.

Sincerely yours,
Dongmug Kang, Ph.D
Chair of organizing committee, ACOH 2023
