The tour begins with a visit to Daereungwon Tomb Complex, which contains 23 tombs of Silla kings and nobles. Representatively, the Cheonmachong tomb (Tomb No. 155), excavated in 1973, has a wooden coffin placed in a basement made of stones and soil, which is typical of the tombs of the upper class of Silla. A total of 11,526 artifacts were excavated, including Cheonmado, which is highly regarded as the first artifact excavated from an ancient tomb in Korea.
Next, You will visit Bulguksa Temple. The 8th century complex is considered a masterpiece of the golden age of Buddhist art in the Silla kingdom and features seven National Treasures. The beauty of the temple and artistry of stone relics make it one of the most popular attractions for both local and foreign visitors alike.
Following dinner, the course takes you to Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, best enjoyed after darkness. Previously used by the crown prince during the ancient Silla Dynasty in the 7th century, Donggung Palace was also used as a banquet site for special events and to receive important visitors.
